Do I need to create an avatar before trying it?
Nope. You can jump right in with a ready-made avatar and explore the experience without scanning anything.
Want to see how clothes fit your own body? That's where your personalized avatar comes in.
Where can I use The Fitting Room?
You can explore the experience through our demo. As we partner with fashion brands, you'll also be able to use The Fitting Room directly on participating brands' product pages.
Do I need any special equipment?
Just a compatible smartphone if you'd like to create your own avatar. No measuring tapes, special cameras or expensive scanning equipment required.

How do I create my personalized avatar?
Download The Fitting Room app, position your smartphone around waist height and follow the instructions to complete a 360° body scan. The whole process typically takes about 3–5 minutes.
Can I see how different sizes fit?
Absolutely. That's one of the best parts.
Compare different sizes on your avatar and see how the fabric drapes, where it fits more closely and where it leaves more room. It's about seeing the differences for yourself, not just being told you're a medium.
Does The Fitting Room recommend a size?
Yes. Our recommendations consider your body measurements, the garment's design and how its fabric behaves.
But the final decision is always yours. Prefer a relaxed fit? Or something a little more tailored? You can explore your options.
Can I try on clothing directly in the app?
Not yet — but that's coming!
For now, The Fitting Room app is where you create your personalized avatar. You can explore virtual try-on through our demo and on participating fashion brands' websites.

Do we need to have 3D models of our clothing?
Nope. If you already have suitable 3D garment assets, great. If not, we can create them for you.
We work with garment patterns, fabric properties and sizing information to build realistic 3D representations of your clothing.
Do shoppers need to scan themselves before trying on our products?
Not at all. Shoppers can get started immediately with a ready-made avatar, without downloading an app or creating an account.
Those who want a more personalized experience can create their own avatar through The Fitting Room app.

How is The Fitting Room different from AI virtual try-on?
Most generative AI virtual try-on tools create images of how an outfit might look. We take a different approach.
The Fitting Room uses actual garment patterns, fabric properties and physics-based 3D simulation to show how clothing behaves on your body — including the differences between sizes.
It's not just about how something looks. It's about how it fits.
Why does fabric physics matter?
Because a silk blouse doesn't behave like a denim jacket.
Different fabrics stretch, bend, fold and drape differently. Our simulation takes those properties into account, helping create a more realistic picture of how a garment will fit and drape.
Can I try on any clothing I find online?
Not quite yet! Virtual try-on is available for garments that have been added to The Fitting Room's platform.
You can explore available styles in our demo, and we'll be expanding the selection as more fashion brands come on board.
Will The Fitting Room eventually offer Made-to-Fit clothing?
That's our long-term vision.
