FASHION SHOULD FIT PEOPLE. NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND.
We believe the future of fashion is personal, made-to-fit and far less wasteful. At The Fitting Room, we're building the technology to make that future possible — changing not just how people shop for clothes, but how clothes are made in the first place.
It all started with a pair of. Straight. Black. Jeans.

Or rather, lack thereof.
After spending an entire afternoon searching Toronto's Eaton Centre, our founder, Kirill Moisyeyev, walked away empty-handed. Skinny jeans? Everywhere. Tapered jeans? Plenty. Straight black jeans? Not so much.
And it left him wondering: why couldn't he just go online, search for “straight black jeans,” and trust that whatever arrived at his door would actually fit?
That was the spark for virtual try-on.

Then came Hoi An, Vietnam.
A relatively small town with an extraordinary number of tailoring shops, Hoi An is often called the “custom-fit capital of the world.” There, Kirill discovered something remarkable: clothing made to your measurements could be surprisingly quick and affordable.
Which raised an even bigger question: why couldn't Made-to-Fit clothing become the norm, rather than the exception?
But bringing that experience to the rest of the world was a whole different story.

How do you get someone's measurements right without ever meeting them? You need an accurate digital avatar to help make garments correctly the first time, minimizing costly remakes.
How do you make sure people actually love what they're ordering? Because “custom-fit” means very little if you don't like the cut, the drape or the silhouette. You need to see how it looks and fits before it's made.
And then comes perhaps the biggest challenge of all: how do you automate Made-to-Fit manufacturing so it can be as fast, affordable and accessible as mass-produced fashion?
These aren't small problems. And they won't all be solved overnight.
That's why we started by building the digital foundation: accurate avatars and physics-based virtual try-on. Technology that can improve how we shop today, while bringing us closer to something much bigger.
A future where clothes are made because someone wants them — not in the hope that someone will.
Big ideas don't build themselves.
Rethinking how clothes fit — and eventually how they're made — takes an unusual mix of talent.
Fashion experts who know how garments are designed, sold and worn. Engineers who understand the physics of fabric. Artists who obsess over every detail. And developers who somehow make it all work together.
We've brought those people together, and they've spent years turning a pretty ambitious idea into something real.

OUR ADVISORS

Why make what nobody wants?
Fashion has a guessing problem. Brands produce enormous amounts of clothing hoping people will buy it. When they guess wrong, perfectly good clothes — and all the resources that went into making them — can go to waste.
What if we did things the other way around?
Imagine choosing a design you love, seeing how it looks and fits and having it made just for you. Only after you've decided you want it.
Making that possible at scale is a huge challenge. But it's the future we're working toward.

Less guessing. Less overproduction. A whole lot less waste.
Think we're onto something?
We're always excited to connect with brands, innovators and people who believe fashion can be better.
Let's make something happen.
